I purchased an item and decided to return it. I failed to return the item in the time prescribed by the Seller. I returned the item, but the Seller refused to refund. Must the Seller return the item to me as an original purchase?

File a dispute through Paypal if you used Paypal or contact your payment source.

Thanks for the response. I did not use PayPal for this purchase. I have scoured eBay for an answer to my question, but, as usual, I have come up empty. I sent the Seller a message regarding the issue. I have not received a response from them. Thanks again.

I'm not sure what to tell them. I can't charge back the item because it's already been paid for for over 3–4 months. I wasn't aware that the Seller refused to refund the item's purchase price until today. eBay never sent me any messages regarding the refund issue. Now I'm stuck. I returned the item but have not received the refund. The Seller has basically stolen $100 from me.

If you did not follow proper Ebay procedure and did not return the item by the deadline indicated in your Return Request details, then Ebay can no longer help you.
This issue should have been dealt with promptly instead of 3-4 months after purchase.
Sorry. You can try to contact your credit card company if you can prove that the returned item has been delivered to the seller.
