This EU2000i generator was advertixed to only have some cosmetic damage. Sever photos were included but that it did run okay. When I opened the box I noticed oil leaking in the box; very black oil. I found the exterior of generator had far more damage then could be seen in the photos. It looked as if the generator had been recovered from landfill, and by with no intention to see if it would run; but rather to fausley advertise, sell and make a handsome profit. I fell for it.
It would not start of run. I added oil to what was left in the motor; added fresh gas but all ot no avail. The choke on the carberator assemble was broken; oil had penetrated the air filters and the rest on the internal parts were covered in oil soaked dirt. This generator had been used in a very dirty and harsh enviroment, and with no intention given to maintenance or care. If it had been mine and in the condion it is now; I would take to a recycling center or garbage dump. I do hope Ebay can help me with some means of recovering my loss of payment from the seller. To pend another $50 to ship it back to the seller seems another waste of money. I wonder how often this happens to other folks from false advertising. What a scam, and what a sucker I am. So much for buying on-line anymore.
