Hi, hoping someone can help 😃
Paid for an item over a week ago
Until yesterday the seller would NOT reply to my messages to ask for a shipping update
Yesterday on 7th day after payment/ordering they FINALLY replied and said:
"Very sorry for the delay. Our warehouse is having a bit of a problem, so the goods can be delayed 3-4 business days, can I ask for this delay. I hope you will understand me for this, and wish you and your family good health."
I have been on Ebay from the original days in the 90's and always remember that it was a FIRM rule that you had to have IN-HAND items - is drop shipping allowed now? I've had to REORDER this same item from another seller, (which has ALREADY arrived), thank goodness as it's a health product and I couldn't be without for the extra week they were delaying. I emailed back to say the further day was unacceptable for the item I needed and had ordered another and had already received it, I asked for a refund and told them NOT to ship it. They STILL have NOT replied.
My next question is:
If the item suddenly arrives on the LAST day tomorrow BEFORE I can open a help ticket, can I still get help from EBAY for the first item as I have had to replace it for the poor communication and long shipping delay and the drop shipping? The seller has 83% rating, sure learned LOTS of lessons =(
Btw, I am seeing TONS of sellers selling the SAME product now, and with (0) history, so I guess there are alot of these types of sellers now and shipping through a remote warehouse and not onhand stock?
Thanks for any help anyone can give 😃
It's been SUUUPER stressful and not used to this after 20 years on Ebay, WORST experience in all this time!

Per Ebay regarding dropshipping for sellers:
Drop shipping, also known as product sourcing, is when you buy stock from a supplier and work with them to send items directly to your buyers without ever handling them yourself. Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay.
However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay.
The Ebay seller is not obligated to agree to your request to cancel the transaction.
When the latest estimated date of delivery has passed by at least one day, you can file a Refund Request.

Thank you soooo much, this REALLY helped!
Seems they are doing the 2nd way which is NOT allowed, (buying from the company after I paid and giving my address to ship) I hope Ebay can check on all the MANY listings like this, and it's been SUUUPER stressful and not how I'm used to Ebay working soooo smoothly and wonderfully for all these years 😃 Thanks again!
