Hi. I am an eBay member since 2016. Buying has been neat and reliable and I was happy to use the plattform until a few weeks ago.
On August 2021 I bought an item that, as the seller stated, had a 2 year warranty which would be covering any malfunction in terms of the item conditions. It was a pair of state-of-the-art, brand new, wireless headphones for about $250.
I received my package as expected, the item was sealed and in excellent condition. Worked fine sice then until, all of the sudden it did not charge anymore, nor they could be turned on so far.
The seller stated that the warranty should be covered by manufacturer, so I reached customer service from the makers.
Everything was going fine until they asked for a proof of purchase, which I provided. Then things turned gray for they told me thah this item would not be replaced becasuse the seller or eBay are not authorized dealers or resellers for the brand and their products. So, I checked this by reviewing their policies and it became trhuth, but they suggested me to contact the seller for he might have bought them with or from an authorized dealer.
Then I tried to reach him, twice, unsuccessfully, requested help form eBay customer service, telling me that they would take things in their hands, and finally they just told me that there is nothing they can do to help me for they were unable to reach the seller and that the time period for opening a claim was already passed.
I was not hoping eBay to refund or pay for anything, but it is absolutely wrong as it is ridiculous to step out the case just like that.
Is there anything You can suggest me to do or anyone to look for help?
Thanks in advance.
