Did you mean:

Seller cancelled order versus buyer.

I purchased an item from a seller, they contacted me and stated that they were out of stock on that item and suggested another item, which wasn't what I wanted.  I advised I didn't want the suggested item so they cancelled the sale.  I am good with that but in my refund, it said, "buyer requested to cancel".  Does it really matter or does that somehow count against me?

Re: Seller cancelled order versus buyer.

It does not count against you, but it should count against the seller because they should have said it was out of stock. If you want, you can report them to eBay for violating policy by what they did.
