I purchased a bottle of perfume that ended up being a counterfeit item. I contacted eBay and opened a case. The case was in my favor and I received a full courtesy refund. However, the seller has contacted me to return the counterfeit item. Am I obligated to send back their item despite already receiving a refund? I fear that they will attempt to sell this item again to others. I'm not sure about the legality of selling fakes on the market.

If the seller wants it back, he should pay for the return shipping. He will have to figure out how to send you a return label.
eBay will not force you to send it back, but to be fair, you should return it if the seller wants to pay for the return.
