Scam with an invoice

I wanted to buy an ebay auto and received an email saying I have to pay with ebay gift card.  They were shipping the item for free, totally different address than the facebook page.

Anyone else run into this?

Oh, yes.  We see questions like this at least every day, usually more.  It's a SCAM.  Do not buy those gift cards.  You did not see that ad on eBay, did you?  Probably craigslist or fb marketplace, that's where the thieves like to hang out.

This is a familiar SCAM that eBay is not involved with at all.  Everything you’ve been told is a lie.  The invoice is FAKE!

DO NOT buy the gift cards.  STOP communicating with the thief.

Go back to FB and the listing there. Report the listing to FB as a scam.

I did delete all the emails and blocked them from my emails.
