I purchased two pair of jeans I thought I might like. I did not like them but tried them on anyway. The jeans did not fit and I asked to return. The day I received the package was the same day it had to be returned. So I started the process. The seller immediately refunded the purchase price minus shipping charges that was around $18. There was two separate shipping charges for the one package sent. Not sure how they got the jeans stuffed in that envelope lol . I sent the seller a message asking about the return and shipping charges. The seller responded there was nothing wrong with the jeans. I was told to keep the jeans, the sale was final. I am a senior and don’t purchase much on Ebay. The post did not say no refunds or I pay for returns. I'm curious if this is the way sales are handled now? Thank you, for your help.

The seller refunded you and let you keep the jeans. No, that is not typical of sellers. Many sellers would have refused to accept a return at all, and would not have refunded, because "does not fit" is not a valid reason for returns. Others would have accepted a return but required you to send them back, with you paying for the postage both ways.

Neither of those has anything to do with it, except inasmuch as you aren't familiar with the process. Nothing wrong with that.
