Returns not arriving! Label being sent back from a different location than the product delivered

Ebay not taking responsibility and says they only provide the label at which the carrier generates to the buyer. Myself "seller" is out the returned product and the original funds were given back to the "buyer" since the tracking shows delivered according to the tracking for such delivery.

Yes, address was the same as its been for many years. I actually went and visited that since offline department support agent R*** advised me to make sure my return address was accurate. At least the other current return shows number provided was incorrect and actually does not show delivered as of yet. I currently am no longer providing any items due to such circumstances at which I have no control over. Both of these situations were purchased from very recent ebay members which also does not help me determine if it is some sort of glitch or recently discovered scam.

I am really just trying to grasp my situation and see if other sellers are experiencing the same return glitch or likely fraudulent activity.

Have you contacted your PO to see where the packages were delivered and if they were addressed to you?

Yes, actually had verbal communication with the carrier the day after item was supposedly delivered. That carrier was the usual carrier who has been handling the same route for many years. Carrier said no they did not have any inbound parcels for me the day that delivery was marked as delivered. Also noting at the time indicated return was delivered they were at home watching tv. Contacted ebay and I did discover the address that was provided on those return labels was accurate. As, it should be; hasn't changed in many years.

Update: 2nd questionable return has been rerouted back to the original address the original purchasers location product was sent to. Which makes me wonder how did it get scanned from a completely different address regional scan yet get routed back to the original location the return was supposed to be sent back from. Whom ever is behind such fraudulent activity needs to be held accountable. I will bring this reroute as well as the original supposedly received return to the carriers attention hopefully tomorrow. Therefore, hoping many more sellers won't be involved in such scenarios.
