Returning item that didn’t match description

I bought a Apple Watch 5 but got a 4 in the mail. They agreed to a return but I am concerned if when they get it they try to say I damaged it or something because with it being different than the item I bought.  Would I have to worry about this? Because if they advertised a 5 but sent me a 4 who is to say the pictures were of the same Watch? I just don’t want to be screwed out of $300.
