Returning an item and adding tracking

I returned an item for the first time ever. I contacted the seller and arranged everything and mailed it back and emailed him the tracking information.

Not knowing what to do next, I opened a return request for the item and it loaded a return mailer. I didn’t need the return mailer because I already mailed it myself. Now, the system doesn’t think I’ve returned the item because it is waiting for the mail label to be activated. I can’t upload the tracking number because it thinks the tracking number is the one from the automated mailer.

Now my refund is being held and the system doesn’t think the seller got the item back even though they have.

Please help.

Returning an item and adding tracking

You can add your own tracking, but if it has already been delivered, it may not let you. You are supposed to open the return before you send the item back.  You may have to ask customer service for help. First try adding it through your purchase history -

  1. Go to the return request in Purchase History - opens in new window or tab.
  2. Select the shipping carrier from the dropdown list. If you select Other, enter the carrier name.
  3. Enter the tracking number.
  4. Select Mark as sent.

If that doesn't work, contact customer service.

To speak to customer service, use the link and instructions on this page to work through the automated assistant to get a call back -
