I purchased a book as a gift for Christmas. When the recipient was reading it, he realized that a section of pages from the middle of the book was missing. The seller has agreed to a refund, but wants me to go thru the eBay return process. I’m being blocked from accessing that process because of the time frame, I think. I tried to access Help, but am being refused contact with an agent…. Help??

@kad585 You only have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a return request.
It is not possible to file an eBay return request since it's past the 30 days allowed by eBay.
Contact the seller again since they were willing to refund and suggest that they go to the drop down menu next to the sold item and select Refund> reason> other Be sure to tell them to NOT select damaged or defective of they get a Defect on their account which seriously hurts a sellers account.
IF they are not willing to do this then your only other option would be a chargeback with your payment source for an item that is significantly not as described. You may have to pay return shipping with this method.

If it has been more than 30 days from date of delivery, you will be unable to file a Return Request through Ebay.
The seller can issue a refund for items in their Seller Hub or their My eBay up to 90 days after the original transaction.
