Restricted account help

On Friday, October 21, 2022 I received the
following email from eBay:

We understand this may be inconvenient, but we’ve identified a possible discrepancy with the information
provided at registration and need your assistance. Until we're able to resolve this
matter, your account will remain restricted and you will be unable to buy/sell items, or engage
in member-to-member communication. To help remove the restriction, please provide a color
image of your passport. If you do not have a passport readily available, please provide an
alternate government-issued ID (front and back). Here are some things to keep in mind: -
Please make sure that your submitted documents are current, valid, readable, and
unaltered. - Your name should be visible and match your current eBay account registration
information (name and address). - It may take up to 3 business days to review your
information. - Any subscriptions you have are canceled, and you will have to reapply for them
after the restriction has been removed. - Do not make any changes to your account until this
matter is resolved.

Thanks, eBay

So I scanned a clear and legible copy of my government ID &
emailed it to them to satisfy their request. eBay has my credit card, my PayPal account and my
checking account already on file. I have been a registered eBay buyer and seller for 25 years
and 7 months. I have never been restricted or suspended for any reason. I have called eBay and spoke to 4 reps. No one can help. They all have the exact same response: "We see you sent in your
government ID and you have fulfilled our request. Unfortunately, only the back office can
lift the restriction. It can take up to 72 hours for the restriction to be removed."

72 hours has come and gone. I can't buy, sell or contact other eBay members. I am being punished for
no reason. I did nothing wrong. Please help me get my account restriction lifted.

Thank you

Re: Restricted account help

So it is now 13 days since my account was restricted.

It had nothing to do with anything I listed and sold.  Nothing to do with payments or the lack thereof.

Fact confirmed with eBay.

Since October 21st, I have spoken to 7 customer service reps and 2 supervisors.  They all say the same thing.  We have received your government ID and you have met all of our requirements.    Your account will be reviewed within 72 hours and the restriction will be lifted.  So they have my Gov ID, checking account, credit card and Pay Pal account all confirmed and valid.

Getting in touch with reps is fairly easy depending on the time of day you call.  They are all very pleasant, but you can tell that they are reading off of a script because each rep says exactly the same thing as do the supervisors.  So I have not been able to answer offers I am receiving on items I am watching.  I can't bid on anything and I can't sell anything.  eBay hasn't made any money off of me in almost 2 weeks.  How is that good business?

Make sure the name you registered with on ebay matches exactly to the name on your checking account.  If you need to add a middle name or initial, do it in the first name space.  My ebay > Summary > Account > Personal information

Make sure you use a physical street address and not a P.O. Box.  You can use a P.O. Box as your SHIP FROM address.

Re: Restricted account help

Thanks for the suggestion but that has nothing to do with my issue.

Everything on file for the last 25 YEARS is the same and confirmed.

I need information on how to get my account restriction lifted.
