I purchased a metal frame pool for replacement parts. The cost was just under $70. When opened the box realized two things, one the parts won’t fit or can’t be used as a replacements for my pool, but also, the parts were rusted like the box had been left outside and many of the parts had rust on them. The box itself looked like it had been thrown through a giant shredder and there was massive amounts of packing tape on this box. So I’m thinking this box was returned, maybe multiple times. When completing the eBay return, I hit the button too early, and didn’t added the note that the parts were rusted and dirty, but only, not the added they were not the right size. Trying to update info on return form, both eBay and the company just keep sending me the same repetitive emails saying I can return for a refund but nothing about them covering the shipping. So, apparently I’m suppose to cover the shipping??? To ship this heavy pool box back to Nebraska, the shipping will out weigh the cost of the return. Do you think this is an obvious decision for the seller? Should I be responsible for return shipping??? I truly understand a ‘as is warranty’ but not if the parts were rusty and not usable as well. The idea was for replacement parts, even if they had fit, I wouldn’t put any of these rusted parts on my pool.

If the reason you chose is not covered by Ebay's Money Back Guarantee (i.e. "didn't fit"), you will be liable for the return shipping costs. You should have chosen "Arrived damaged" or "Doesn't match description or photos".
