Sold an item May 27th, Shipped out to customer. Customer informed us after item was shipped that it was a wrong address on file. I explained it had already been shipped. Package showed delivered. Today August 4th we received the package back refused, return to sender. ...I would like to refund the buyer the cost of the Item - shipping costs...shipping cost was $14.00. The customer never contacted me to let me know they never got it.....Where was this package for 2 months? Is their a policy somewhere that outlines what I should do?...Thank You.

It's up to you what to do, but most sellers refund the item price not including shipping. You could relist and message the buyer to let him know it arrived back and that it has been relisted so that he can repurchase it with the correct address if he still wants it. Remind him to be sure to select the correct address at checkout.
Just as an FYI...packages that are refused go back to the sender via the slow route. It usually takes a couple of weeks (yours REALLY took the slow route!).

Thank You so much for your quick response. What I did after I sent this question is open the box...and yes it is broken.
