If you opened a return in April your case has timed out and eBay can no longer help you. After three full days of opening the case with no action by the seller you should have gone back to the case and "Ask eBay to step in". When you did not then eBay figured that all was well and closed the case in the seller favor after 21 days.
About all you can do now is to go to your payment source and ask for a charge back.
