Refund for returned item

Help...ebayer for over 20 yrs and this is the worse transaction ever. After receiving items incorrectly described I initiated a return for total refund. Ultimately eBay approved my request and sent a return label which I used. I was informed that I did not have to provide tracking info if I used the eBay label. Returned items on 10/23 and delivered to seller on 10/26. I even received a comment that item had been delivered and should receive refund shortly.  Now eBay denied refund because I did not provide tracking info and I should keep the items. Impossible to talk to anyone at eBay ....at a loss for what to do next.

This is a bug that eBay is aware of and has been going on for a long time - they don't know how to fix it.

You only have to contact Support to review the case and they will reverse the denial and refund you, as they actually do see the tracking internally.

 

Easiest way is to contact them in social media - do you use that?Only use the Private DM or PM Messaging - do not post your account info publicly.
Give them your User ID, your real name/address, the email attached to your account, Item #, Case #, and explain the issue in detail.
They usually respond in a day or two.
