Received an eBay order in Amazon Prime Packaging

I received a parcel from a seller. I did not have a notification from eBay that the item was delivered, and there was no return address. The package also arrived in an Amazon Prime envelope, no return address and the shipping slip said it was a gift. I was alarmed regarding the legitimacy, although the item matched what I ordered. Called eBay and spoke with a represtative who confirmed this is legal and happens with sellers who ship outside of eBay. Sharing my experience with others in the event they go through something similar.

Listing an item for sale on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to the customer is not allowed on eBay.
