Questions on how to use the notifications correctly

I had a buyer contact me through notifications that was a collector and wanted to know if I had more of some of these items. I know it’s against the rules to sell through notifications, but would it be against the rules if we come up with the price and I went to eBay with a lot of them and let him know when I was putting it on. How does a buyer which is interested especially a collector to buy more from you so you don’t get in trouble on breaking the rules on eBay. Thank you I’m new with this.

This Buyer can select to "Follow" you. If they go to any of your listings, there should be a "heart" symbol. If they click on that, they should be notified via email about once a week when you list new items.  

They can also add any of your items to their Watchlist so they can easily check on your current listings.
