Question Came Up In a FB Group Today...Will Ebay remove a buyer who leaves a negative....

Question Came Up In a FB Group Today...Will Ebay remove a buyer negative comment if they say that the shorts she just bought were supposed to be a size 8, they werent, they're too small, dont fit, etc etc? Someone in the group claims that buyers cant leave comments that arent fully factual and if they do ebay will remove them. Now i know about profanity, anything personally identifying someone, etc etc. But we've all seen or received plenty of feedback that said something we felt was not true. Ebay doesnt go around and fact check stuff like that. Its subjective mostly, if you have what you believe to be a negative expierence, you can leave a negative comment. "I thought these shorts were ugly"! So if i prove you were lying and thought they were pretty then ebay will remove it? Come on. I think hes pulling my chain, right?

Maybe.  It depends on which customer service representative you connect with, what kind of mood s/he is in, and how persuasive your argument is.

Well, more exactly, if i leave a negative and say "This doesnt fit me, its suppose to be a size 8".  I find it hard to believe any ebay rep is going to read that as part of a removal request and say o, ya they said in the ad its a size 8, so ill take this neg right off here. Am i missing something?

My original reply is based on my having read countless thousands of posts, many regarding almost exactly the same situation.  I don't insist that you believe my answer ... please, feel free to disbelieve the whole day long.  All I will add is that I have seen it with my own eyes; unlike some of the answers on this same post that you copied and pasted in the Selling category, in this instance I'm not talking theoretically.

I once had a Negative removed, my first, because the buyer claimed that "It seems smaller". I pointed out to the Rep that I had the measurements in the listing. It was the only Negative that I was ever able to get removed. Your example is not a good one. Perhaps if the Negative said " It didn't fit me" and the seller was able to point out that the listing included the size and the measurement of the garment, they might have a shot at removal.
