QR code for local pick-up

Hello,

I bought an item that I will be picking-up. The seller asked me to provide him with a QR code that he will scan at the pick-up location. Does someone know how I can get this QR code ( I have not received any email from Ebay with this QR code so far)?

If the listing had offered local pick

& that was what you selected during checkout,

you should have received the QR code in your eBay messages.

As long as you selected "Local Pickup" at checkout, the QR code will be in an email from eBay; they also send same to your My eBay > Messages so check there as well.

Let us know if you still can't find it - you may have to contact eBay CS for help.

After you’ve completed your purchase, we’ll send an email with a Local Pickup code (a QR code and a 6 digit code) to your Messages. You can either print off your email or show the seller the message on the app when you collect your item. The seller will scan or enter the code on the eBay app to confirm you’ve picked up your item.

Thank you ferncliff-39 for the answer. I just double-checked and I can confirm that the order does say "Local Pickup". I looked once again at my eBay messages box and I am pretty confident that I have not received any message with the QR code (and the 6 digit code) so far. I also tried from my phone and there the "Get pickup code" button does show up but nothing happens when I click on it (it looks like it is not activated).

I didn't even know there was that button in the app (thanks) - did you at least receive an eBay email purchase confirmation of the order itself, without the code?

If you still don't have it or can't find it -

You can contact eBay CS from Buying with local pickup Help page

Scroll down to the bottom of that page
Click on "Contact us"
In the Help Chat box that opens click on "See more"until you see the
option to "Contact an agent" (may have to scroll a bit), click that
OR...type "Agent" in the reply box then hit "Send" to bypass the bots
You should get the options to Chat with agent, or have them call you.

The call back isn't always successful if your carrier blocks spam/telemarketing calls.

Live Chat works well and they email the transcript to  you when done.
