Promoted listings

Hello all,

I am really confused about promoting listings. How are they promoted by Ebay?

Promoted listings are suppose to show up higher in SEARCH.  If a buyer clicks on the listing, but purchases within the next 30 days, you will be charged the promoted rate.  Promoted listings also show up when a buyer selects a listing to look at.  Those listings will have a SPONSORED tag above those listings.
