Payment timing question

Does the buyer need to let ebay know that they have received an item or does the payment process work off the seller letting ebay know it has shipped?

The seller enters the tracking which marks the order shipped.  When the tracking shows delivery to your buyer, generally the payment is released in about 24 hours.  Payments for high priced items are usually held longer.

The buyer does not have to do anything.
