Password problem

This may be a Microsoft issue, not sure, but every time I want to sign on, the password field is already filled in and I have to reset it each time...How do I get the filled in password out of there?  My old computer was hacked last year and I am wondering if this is part of the problem?  So frustrating to have to go through this every time...Help!

What browser are you using? Edge?

The password may be saved in your browser's password manager. Usually entering a new password would result in a prompt to allow you to update the saved password, though.
