Notifications in German instead of English

I purchase some items from a German seller. Now all my notifications are in German. How do I change it back to English?

Are you saying that even your notifications from US Sellers are in German?  If so the only thing that comes to mind is that you are logging into the eBay Germany site not the US site (which ends in .com).

As to foreign language messages being automatically translated to English I am not sure eBay has progressed to that point with their programming.

I will check my loggin status. All my Ebay is in English. Only the sellers notifications on my phone appear in German. Once I click on them, I am sent to my Ebay site in English.

eBay translates on their PC based messaging system.  Here is one I got a while ago where the customer's message was in Spanish but eBay automatically translated it to English ... there is a link at the bottom of the message (green arrow) that lets you toggle back and forth between English and the customer's language.

I don't use the phone app so again, not sure if they have progressed to the translation function on that.
