I have just started selling on eBay and I posted a set of Vintage Pyrex 4 pc. bowls for $325 that included shipping and ins. The ins. was $6.40, and the shipping was $22.20. Ebay took $37.02 for their fee. Add it all up folks. THEN, for some reason eBay let the buyer have them for $250 instead of the BUY IT NOW $325. Why? That was $65.02 out of the $250 she paid. I had to let her have them and I only got $185 out of the sale. It was the DOT Pyrex Bowls and just the green dot bowl at one time was $300 by itself. I think it is $100+ now. Did eBay screw me and I didn't know better? I almost checked out of eBay and kept my bowls, but I really thought I wanted to sell on here.... tell me your thought please?

You apparently had them as an auction + a Buy It Now. A buy it now is not a reserve; the first prospective buyer can either use the buy it now to get the item immediately at a higher price, or place a bid to try to get the item for a lower price. You had 21 bids, and the high bidder was $247.50. That’s the selling price.
You mentioned insurance cost separately, but you can’t charge the buyer for insurance.
The only one who “screwed” you was you, for not understanding how Ebay listings work. I would actually recommend that you consider not selling anymore until you do a lot of reading and getting a better understanding of how listings work.
