I bought the Gucci Ophidia Men messenger bag by an Ebay seller. Based on her listing it is brand new and the box was sealed, so the pictures she used on her listing were taken from Gucci website and the last picture was the Gucci box. It passed the authentication process but the NFC tag that comes with it is not working even I used 3 different phones and even installed NFC reader on my Iphone.
I called Ebay customer agent for 2 consecutive days until they sent me a link through my e-mail that it was authenticated and it was real.
My question is, the bag I got was modified inside, no more extra pockets and only small pocket with zipper. The small leather tag that print the Gucci logo was sutured in the bag lining. The serial numbers which you normally find it when you flip the leather. This bag I got all the serial numbers were lightly heat stamped inside the bag where leather and the cloth lining were sutured together.
Did anyone get the same bag I got? Wondering are these new batch/production from Gucci to counteract rampant counterfeting. The seller claimed she bought the bag at Farfetch this early this year.
Please I need to hear from someone if they had this bag. I will appreciate all your inputs.
