Hi there, looking for some guidance as I am not finding any results for this issue.
Took the plunge to start a store & have over 400 active listings I need to place into my various store categories. I have assigned about 250 or so currently. If I search using the first drop down I will find those I have placed into one of my store categories.
If I search for the default of Other, 0 results are returned. How do I find all of the remaining active listings so I can then place these into my store categories? There is not an option to list the main store category in the list of columns so I can't use that either.
So any hints on how I can search for items not yet in any of my store categories would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible you have assigned categories to more items than you thought? It takes some time for them to show up in their new categories. I see 300+ in the listed categories.
You could use the seller hub active listing page to search by store category - under categories switch to store categories - https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately that is not the case.
If I view all of my categories & the counts under each:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/str/category
If I total all up there are 366. Other has 0 listed. I currently have 406 active listing.
When I update one that I have not yet moved, the category is listed as Other until I change it.
I guess I should have created a dummy category, assigned everything to that & then moved to their actual categories. Too bad I did not know that the search function has this as one of the limitations.

You should not have to do that. They should all start out in 'other'. I don't now why other is not showing up - that's why I thought maybe they were in process. But now you're only missing 40, so it has changed. I just counted 404 in categories. Only 2 remaining.
Did you try the seller hub active search?

Yep, I have manually been going through the listings looking for those I may not have touched earlier by trying lots of bulk updates by keywords. I have been working on this since I first posted this help message.
Unfortunately using the counts to see if I have assigned all items is not quite good either. As I can assign 1 or 2 store categories to each item, I am now at 411 on 4/6 items & am still finding more I need to update 😞
From the image I cobbled together, yes I have been using the active search. When I select Other from the drop down, never get any results, even when I first started with this several hours ago.
So as you can see here I would select Other & get 0 results. From the Manage Store categories screen is where I can see my totals & then copy this data off to Excel to total up the column. Would have made this process soo much easier if I did not need to hunt down those I still need to place into a store category.

It sure would have been easier. The store is supposed to make managing your items less work, not more 😞

Yep, guess another "feature" to help keep that frustration level up there 😉
At 460 category listing on 406. Calling it quits looking for more now.
(looks like I have only updated 346 out of 406)
Guess my recommendation to anyone that reads this is to create an "Everything Else" category first, assign all of your items to that store category then preform your bulk searches to move to their actual categories. That way when you get towards the majority you can still search in "Everything Else" to see the outliers or ones you missed as Other does not work 😰
Guess that is eBay's way of punishing us for not starting a store earlier with our 400+ listings 🙄
