Need to ship later than anticipated

I am out of town and cannot ship the item in 3 days. Need to ship in two weeks

@usonia2001  Delaying shipping is going to hurt your seller metrics and may even result in payouts being held if they are not already. 

Is the buyer willing to wait two weeks for the item?  

 I recommend reaching out to your buyer and letting them know what happened.  Ask if they will request a cancelation.  If they do that then you refund the buyer and relist when you come back especially for this buyer.  I would offer them a discount for doing this.  

Your only other option if the buyer is not willing to request a cancelation OR doesn't want to wait is to cancel the order yourself as out of stock.  You do unfortunately get a defect for using this reason.  

Keep in mind that the buyer can file a not received refund request when it's one day past the last estimated delivery date so be sure to ask nicely for their patience and assistance.  

You need to use Time Away to prevent this from happening when you are out of town.  I recommend using the option to Pause/ Hide your listings>>     Time Away

You should turn this on now so you don't get any more sales.
