Managing sellers communications and preferences

Im a new seller.  I have 10 items listed and started getting bids.  I have no option to communicate with potential buyers/bidders.  Recommended to change preferences in managing sellers communications.  When trying to select this option in Account, it has stated for 3 days "the option is not available at this time".  Now what????

Normally there is no communication between a buyer and seller unless the customer asks a question that you can reply to.

If someone send a Best Offer, you can reply the buyer with a counter offer and a message.

If someone asks you a question through eBay messages, you can reply to the buyer through eBay messages.

If someone has placed a bid on an auction, don't message them now, that would be off-putting. Let the auction run to see who the winner is.

Long and short, you communicate with other eBay members through eBay messages, and through the Best Offer process. You can use the 'Contact Member' link to open an eBay message to another member. Be aware that eBay monitors those conversations.
