Recently, I found an item that I really wanted. The Seller solicited Make an Offer. I did do that, I received a response that said my offer was accepted and to pay. However, there was a small blurb at the end of the acknowledgement that said whoever pays first gets it. Well, I've never encountered that ever on making an offer on an item. It's been an offer between me and the seller with an expiration date. Well, I kept trying to pay for this item and it wouldn't go thru stating that it was out of stock....Thinking it was an error, I tried multiple times sporadically and it still came up that way. I sent a message to the Seller and have not heard back. What are the procedures on a "Make an Offer" situation?

That is a very recent change to how Best Offers now works, similar to how Buy It Now worked in the past, with the first buyer who pays gets the item.

thank you....that is totally not fair. I MAKE AN OFFER on an item so everybody else gets a chance at the trophy so to speak. Then it looks like they turned around an offered another at full price. Bait and switch.....Bologna!!!! Thank you for answering me!!!!!
