It's my understanding that being a new seller I need to accumulate more sales for a limit increase.... However it states I have listed 96/100 for the month, and I haven't listed nearly that many items. Limit increase requests were denied. Can I remove qtys available on some listings and regain my availability? Or can the number listed be reviewed as it is very wrong? Thank so much.

The quantities count against your total, so if you reduce some of the quantities it should free up some room to list more items.
eBay is very good at counting, so there is no way to ask them to check. If you add up all of the available quantities plus your sold for this month, the total will be correct. The amount isn't for the month - it is active plus sold. So items listed in prior months and still active count in the total.
