Lawsuit against Ebay

Ebay should NOT be charging final value fees to the seller on the sales tax collected from the buyer. The seller does not receive one penny of this sales tax. This is outright THIEVERY by Ebay. Ebay should be sued for this unscrupulous policy and be forced to refund the final value fees charged to the sellers that are attributable to the sales tax paid by the buyer.

@horsdrag  While I don't like more fees, this is not illegal.  The funds processor charges their fees on the total amount including sales tax.   PayPal charged fees on the sales tax a buyer paid before eBay Managed Payments started.

Lawsuit against Ebay

Hi @horsdrag

It is customary for payment processors to charge their fee on the total sale, and eBay is no different. The buyer's ENTIRE payment is being processed - not just part of it.

You agree to eBay's fee structure each time you list an item for sale.
