Knives policy issues

Ebay requires account holders to be over 18. Ebay restricts the sale of knives in accordance with U.K. law. I am trying to purchase a cutlery set and a cake slice for a wedding gift but my attempts to bid are thwarted by the knives policy, which states the buyer must give credit card details to prove age is over 18.

1. I can’t find the form that the buyer needs to complete as proof of age, anywhere on ebay whether I use the website or the App.

2. I joined ebay in 2004 so I have held an account for 18 years. No further proof should be necessary.

It’s immensely frustrating and Sellers listing cutlery sets which include table knives probably can’t understand why no one is bidding on their auctions.

If anyone knows where the form is, please send a link, many thanks.

Knives policy issues

This sounds like it might be a UK specific issue. You are on the US ebay.com site. Try asking on the UK site:
