Item returned not using Ebay return label

Good morning, 

I had a buyer return an item without using an Ebay return label. They never started a return through Ebay and just sent back the item on their own.  I had the buyer start a return after the fact but it's showing the item hasn't been returned.  Any advice on how to proceed? I can't seem to find a way to message Ebay about this problem.

If you have received the item, just go to the return request and use the ‘refund buyer now’ option.

If the buyer is asking for reimbursement on the return shipping and you agree, you can send them the $ outside of eBay - PayPal, Venmo, zelle, whatever works for you both.
