Item pulled from auction just before ending time

I noticed one laptop being auctioned was pulled and no longer visible with just 20 minutes left til ending time. Does the seller have the right to do this?

There were 8 bids on this laptop, yet was pulled. Wonder what happened.

If it totally disappeared (can't find with the item number) that means eBay removed it for some issue with the seller and/or the listing or possibly a bidder.  If the seller ended it it will be findable by item number (paste it into the URL: ebay.com/itm/*************) and will be searchable with the Show Only: Completed Listings filter (though the latter will take some time after the auction is ended to show up there).

A seller cannot end an auction that has ever had a bid after the 12 hour deadline except to sell to the then highest bidder at the then current bid amount.  eBay's software prevents it.

Thanks for the reply. Later in the day I noticed the result was listed as being sold to the highest bidder at a certain price. Strange thing remains though...it ended about 15-20 minutes before the stated end time. Been recently watching the bidding to get familiar with the action before I start delving into it myself. Cheers!
