Ebay does not seem to let me dispute an item that was not delivered. The issue is the delivery date was set well past 90 days after purchase and have come past the delivery date with no item, tracking number, or response from seller. The item does not show as "delivered" on my page, but shows as "shipped" still. How can I proceed?

Call your credit card issuer and open a dispute for an item not received.
Preorder items must be delivered within 45 days. Transactions are closed at 90 days and can not be disputed through eBay.

Unfortunately, if you're with CapitolOne, you only have 180 days to dispute charges. Maybe most credit cards have this policy, as well, seeing as the seller chose a delivery date 7 months after purchase. If only I'd known of these policies, I wouldn't have trusted ebay so well.

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize it was over 180 days. That is a pretty common cutoff for disputes.
The eBay guarantee requires a claim to be opened within 30 days after the estimated delivery date in your purchase history, which could not have been more than about 45 days after your purchase.

That's what I find strange. The listing did, in fact, list the delivery to be 5 to 7 months out. The listing didn't get marked as shipped until a few months after purchase. After a few months, the original listing was completely erased, but I thought that issue was more on ebay's side. I wish I took a screenshot to prove the listing did mark the preorder as shipping wouldn't occur until after February and delivery lasting until mid July, but that's in the original post if it can be recovered.

It isn’t what the seller says in the listing, it is what shows on the shipping tab that sets the clock. The longest available handling time is 40 days after purchase, so the estimated delivery would be a short time after that.
Unfortunately, you can not recover the details of the listing.

That's where it listed the delivery date. The description only stated what I was ordering and when they would likely ship. Since the seller was from overseas, I thought that it was reasonable the shipping tab showed a 5-7 month delivery window. Can't state any more plainly that's what the delivery window showed.
No problem, though. I appreciate your correspondence.

Thanks for update. Usually people describe the seller's words, so I just wanted to make sure you knew where to look in the future.
