Firstly, this is my first time posting here, I need help, and I am not thinking very well given the issue.
To explain the situation the best I can: I ordered an item, then a week after the lastest delivery date passed, I opened the "Item hasn't arrived request", following what Ebay, and other community members have said to do. When I did this, the seller started messaging me, being very aggressive and angry, and frankly very unprofessional. Before I could even reply once to try and explain the situation, they sent me like 4 messages in a row, being aggressive about it. My though was to be nice about it, and instead of pushing the full 100% refund, that is covered under Ebay's MBG policy, I opted for 50% of it instead.
Then a month goes by, and the item unexpectedly arrived, after I thought it was lost. Before I could even get out to my mailbox, seller was already messaging me about "giving back the refund". I understand bothsides of this coin, but they didn't even like give me a choice, they were kind of demanding about it. I originally was going to return it (and honestly I don't know why I am thinking like this), and opened a "Return Request". Then again, the seller started messaging me, very aggressive, accusatory, and started with insulting stuff, and just all-in-all being unprofessional.
I already went with reporting them for that behaviour, but now I am kind of stuck on this next thing. The "Return Request" is still open, and originally given the situation, and I am guessing based off the categories this fits in, that either situation I am covered under Ebay's MBG policy. I think. I am not sure. As crappy as it is, I am second guessing returning the item, more so because of their responses and messages to me, through out the whole process.
I more so need help in asking, would that be covered? Or should I just continue with the returning item? My main thought was being nice about the whole refund vs getting item situation, despite not pushing for the 100% covered refund in the first place. Sorry for long message, I just don't know what to do right now.
