Is there an eBay Help AI with actual intelligence?

So I committed a grave faux pas: I ordered an item as a guest because I forgot my password and ordering as a guest was faster. Of course, the item was crap--a BluRay disc that didn't play. And the seller is crap--yunchengshiyanhu is no longer a registered user. I'm trying to contact eBay for a refund, but attempts to return as a guest always send me to a sign in page. When I sign in with my email, the 'bot says that there are no recent orders on my account. If I try to create a new account with my email, the system tells me that there is already an account with that email address.

I'm willing to jump through a few more hoops to get my money back, but I can't find any more hoops? Does anybody have a suggestion? Or at least some snark to brighten my day?

Purchases made as a guest are separate from purchases made as a registered member. You will need to sign in with the email address you used as a guest along with the PASSCODE that ebay sent to you in an email. Then you can file a Returns Request.
