Every time I search for "corvette" ebay automatically goes back to vehicles only. I want to see Parts only but all Corvette parts available, particularly auctions . I can search a particular part in parts and accessories but once I search " Corvette" ebay reverts back to cars only.

Others have noticed the same thing in various searches.

If a search that has worked well previously suddenly starts behaving badly, often the problem has something to do with a faulty keyword substitution or an inappropriate automatic category navigation issue.

You can bypass many of these sorts of issues by putting one of your keywords in quotes. This forces eBay to bypass the "smart search" features and to search for the literal keywords without any substitution or category switching. You may have to manually specify your category once again.

Try this as a starting point, then narrow down as necessary and save a new search:

Use the "Feedback?" icon in the lower right corner of your search results to fill out a form regarding your search issues to alert page developers. The more feedback eBay gets about this or similar issues, the more likely eBay is to prioritize a fix.

The quotes work well, but still seems to leave out over half the items that should be there. OR that many sellers have realized not to run an auction anymore. This New search just started a week ago. The last time I could make the old search was last Saturday 3-5-2023. Thank you for your help eburtonlab , I'll use the Feedback Icon.

Spoke with 2 different Ebay representatives on 2 separate phone calls, One of which is supposed to know what is going on. He says this is the new ebay search engine. Ridiculous! I have used the same exact search for 20 years. And now I can not search all Corvette parts available in a general search, I have to search each part individually. Really! That hurts every ebay seller and buyer. Less competition driving the auctions up and less advertisement linking buyers to other products or driving prospective buyers to an ebay store. And of course, all I get here is an auto generated reply!

Flip side, I have been able to buy some cheap auction items with no competition. Good buys, but no winning spirit. HaHa! Poor sellers have no idea they have been ripped off by ebay and yet still paying the same ebay fees to sell their item. I guess ebay wants a BUY IT NOW only site and drive people away from auctions which is what made ebay to start with.
