I have a product that comes in two variations- one of which has 10x as much as the other, so it weighs 10x as much.
I just got ripped on international shipping because there's no way to adjust the weight between these two products, and the fixed shipping to Canada is $10 or whatever.
Is there any way to adjust items with variations by weight so this doesn't happen again?

What carrier are you using?
What service are you using?
How much does your item weigh and what package size does it fit in?

Carrier: always USPS.
Service: Normally first class.
Item weights are usually single-digit ounces, normally shipped in 4x4x4 or sometimes 5x5x5 boxes.

The problem is as you pointed out, there is no way to adjust weight in a Variation type listing. The workaround is to make shipping free and include the shipping cost in the price of each variation. Of course this only works for Domestic. So if you ship international as well you are left with creating two separate listings. They can refer to each other in the description.
