International Bidders

Recently listed an item that stated US shipping and no options for international bidders. Had someone purchase it that is overseas even though listing states US only. How do I resolve this?

Re: International Bidders

It is not enough to only set up a cost for the US, this does not stop others from buying. You have to set your shipping preferences to only allow sales in the US.

Check all international locations on this page, check apply to current and future and save -
https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf/excludeRegions

Then block buyers from excluded countries here, select apply to active and future, and submit -
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

For the current item, send the buyer an apologetic note, explaining that you do not ship outside of the US.  Then cancel his purchase selecting problem with buyer's address as the reason.

Re: International Bidders

You are not under any obligation to ship anywhere you didn't agree to ship. The buyer can only pay if s/he gives a shipping address in a location you've set up to ship to. If s/he does (many international buyers use forwarding services or friends or family in the US) your obligation is to deliver the item as described to that address, any forwarding from there voids the Money Back Guarantee. If s/he doesn't you can cancel for non-payment after 4 full days.

S/he was able to bid/buy because either s/he has a Primary Shipping Address in the US or you didn't set your Buyer Requirements to block those with PSAs in a location you don't ship to (the default for all Buyer Requirements is OFF).
