Input Needed.

Morning to All Mentors.

I ran a test sale from Aug 23rd to Aug25th, A huge 30% off event. I listed 12 of the most popular sale items at the store. At the end of the sale, actually this morning I opened the Promotion report to find there were no sales, no watchers and only 1 page view out of 12 listings.

I'm frustrated and have been since July 9th when the store sales fell of the cliff.  Down 75% in July and August isn't much better. I'm unable to figure out what's going on.

I've rewritten the listings in the store, changed wording and photo positions. I started using a new listing format, short and more to the point for those that shop eBay by using their phones. Listing titles rewritten to reflect good keyword use and still the sales haven't improved. I added "Make Offer" & PL a week ago, I don't think the PL program works.  It hasn't in the past.

I can't help but think this is an eBay software algorithm issue. I don't know what to do or how to solve the problem. There are 506 listings, 237 have page views, 269 have no page views. Zero offers since July 9th.

I spent 45 mins with a rep from eBay Ticket #1-466919188091 addressing my concerns. No response, no store improvement. My store is not dead. I work the store daily and add new products, interact with buyers when needed and make sure no listing is over 30 days old. I believe my listings are buried deep in the abyss of eBay and buyers simply can't find them. Is there anything else I need or can do?

Hmmmmm 72 hrs. down and no reply from a mentor.  Disappointed.

So much, for the "Ask a Mentor" board.

Re: Input Needed.

There's only a few that can reply on this board and we are not online all the time.

Looking at the items you sell, I'd say your buyers would be pretty slim.

Try selling items more people want.

Have a great day.

Sign out of your account, and then try searching for some of your items the way a prospective buyer would. See if your items appear, and where they are among your competitions' listings in various sorts, how your listings compare in terms of titles and shipping.

Then you will actually know if your buyers can find your items or not.

Then take a look at the recent sold prices for such items, and see if your prices are in line with comparable items.
