I am a casual seller. I have been using eBay to dispose of estate items and other stuff...... not trying to run a business, just don't want stuff going to the dump, etc.
With the changes to the tax rules, I am considering ending all my listings and giving up on on-line sales. I have no intention of dealing with the IRS crapola any more than I have to..... Therefore, it is back to cash only, flea markets, garage sales, etc.
Any thoughts on this situation from others in a similar situation?

You should go to the seller discussion board. I'm sure you will find many discussion on the subject there. This board is for Q&A - more how to than opinion.

I've been reporting my income and paying my share of income taxes all along, so it's no big deal to me.
The ones that will have problems are the ones that haven't been.

All income is to be reported, no matter cash only, flea markets, garage sales, or ebay. Doesn't mean any tax is due. Generally for garage sale personal items, their is no tax due, as none of it sold for an actual profit.
Sales of personal items, is not a business, and generally not at a profit, so no taxes are due, plus the IRS allows much simpler reporting requirements for this type of sales. So don't miss out on bringing some money in from ebay. Whoever does your taxes or any tax software will easily take care of it when you file your tax return.
