Couple questions.
First I sold an item internationally and I'm using Ebay international shipping standard delivery. I thought my item goes to a domestic hub and not directly to the buyer. Why when I go to print the shipping label its the buyers info and address and not the domestic hubs address?
Second I put 6"x6"x6" for the custom package size and it lets me, but when reading the shipping international TOS it says "The minimum size for shipping internationally with eBay is 7.25 inches in width and 10.25 inches in ... so sounds like I need a bigger box just to ship a tiny computer CPU? Seems it would tell me that when I enter the dimensions, and not hide that info in the fine. Or is what I read pertaining to something else?

@show-me_cards It should be going to Illinois not to the buyer. Not sure what's happening there. The box does need to be larger for shipping this is due to the customs label that eBay will have to apply to ship it, those labels are larger than standard labels. It would need to be larger even if YOU are shipping it internationally.
It's possible that since the package is too small for EIS that is the reason that you are supposed to ship it directly to the buyer yourself as it doesn't qualify for the program.
eBay has no way of knowing when you list the item if it will end up shipping with EIS or not.
"Program Rules. You will comply with the following rules for any EIS Items that you sell through the Program:
- Upon eBay’s notice that the Buyer has paid for an item, you will promptly ship the EIS Item(s) to the US Shipping Hub address provided to you in accordance with your listing;
- You will package all EIS Items appropriately, and in accordance with correct weight and dimensions limits.
- Nothing greater than 44 lbs. for every country except CA where maximum allowable billable weight is 66 lbs.
- Packages exceeding 42 inches in Length or 79 inches in Girth are NOT permitted
- Packages must meet or exceed 7.25 inches in width and 10.25 inches in length"

I entered the dimensions of my package when making the for sale add, so not sure why itd give me the option for the ebay international shipping if the package is too small, thats silly just doesnt make sense. Anyways I changed the boxes dimensions to one large enough to qualify when going to purchase a label and still shows up the buyers address any idea how I can have it changed to ship to hub? I literally only allowed international sale because it claimed all sales would go through domestic hub. Shipping directly to someone in another country I no longer have the level of seller protection going through a domestic hub. Should I just cancel the order, refund them, and relist it with US sale only or what do you suggest? Im not comfortable sending a somewhat valuable item directly to someone internationally, Ive heard to many scam stories.

@show-me_cards eBay doesn't know that your item will ship using EIS when you list the item.
My advice would be to let the buyer know that you are sorry but the eBay international Shipping Program is not allowing shipping for this item. You could then cancel as problem with buyers address and change to only US shipping on your listings for this item and other similar items.

Thanks for the help. I managed to chat with an agent, and they looked into the order for me, I was told "the shipping of item is no longer under the eBay International Shipping program is because the buyer selected the additional international service". Apparently, they paid more for USPS First Class Package International Service instead. Didn't realize it was an option for them to do so. I may just ship it instead of cancelling the order but then I have to figure out HS Tariff codes and stuff, ugh.

@show-me_cards The buyer should not be able to choose a shipping option that is not offered on the listing. This info from the agent doesn't sound correct.
Yes, you will need the tarriff codes and a larger box to accommodate the customs form that will print out.
Let me ask the community team if there is a new eBay procedure that I am not aware of that allows the buyer to select a shipping method other than what is offered on the listing. They will not answer us until Monday when they are back in the office.

It was an error on my part. I didn't realize the Ebay international shipping was already on, I thought I had to click this to add the international shipping. Instead I was adding additional international shipping option for the buyer. 🙉 I believe that's where I went wrong with my sale.

Hey @comics-scifi-collectibles you are correct. A buyer does not have the ability to choose a shipping option that was not offered in the listing.
@show-me_cards I'm glad you found out what happened! Don't worry though. It happens to the best of us sometimes.
