I’ve been scammed

Hello everyone

I need your advice

some days ago i made a purchase. The problem is the item I received doesn’t match the description. The description is fake. So I wrote a review to report other customers the fake description. The

seller (weitoili27) contacted me and promise to send the correct product and also promise to refund if I couldn’t receive the new shipment after 30 days. I trusted this person so I changed the review. Once I did it this person stop answering. So I contacted an ebay agent and she told me that she will send a last warning to the seller so the seller contacted me and told me to pay for the return and they will pay me later by paypal. At this point I cannot trust the seller anymore, I am oustside the USA so the cost to send the item back to China will be greater than the original cost and as I said, don’t trust the seller anymore, the problem is the seller force the return and now ebay close the claim and I don’t have the change to appeal. The seller now disappeared again and has blocked me to not buy from they anymore. So I am really upset because ebay didn’t help and let this person to continue scamming people. Is there any way to make justice?

Re: I’ve been scammed

Don't ever change a feedback until AFTER the seller has resolved the problem. For sellers located in China especially, don't ever accept a promise of a replacement. Just get your money back.

(BTW, if the item is not as described, the seller pays for return shipping, not the buyer.)

Why would you try to buy again from this same seller? Stay far away!

Because the seller stalled until the case closed in his favor, eBay cannot help you now. Try contacting your credit card company to see if they can help.

For the future, be sure to vet your sellers well by reviewing the feedback comments they receive. And also take a look at the Money Back Guarantee policy so you know what to do if you encounter a problem in the future:

Re: I’ve been scammed

You're welcome. If it's any consolation, we all sometimes learn lessons the hard way.
