I sold a decanteur. Packed very well. Was cracked in shipping i obtained special insurance with

I was advised from ebay to ask buyer for pictures of damaged decanteur for post office. Ebay sent buyer. Return label. Now what?   EBay has instructed me to send refund.  What do I do?

Did you receive photos of the damaged item, shipping label, outer packaging, inner packaging?  If so, tell your buyer NOT to send the item back as it will void your insurance claim.  Have the buyer set all of that aside in case the postal service wants to inspect the item.  Refund the buyer in full.  Now log into USPS.COM and file an insurance claim, uploading all the photos the buyer sent.  The postal service will send you a check if they accept the claim.
