I need to return item I purchase from someone in Illinois, but the return label is in India

I need to return item I purchase from someone in Illinois, but the return label is in India.  How is this possible?  to ship the item to India would cost more than I paid for the item.  why is someone in India selling on Ebay with an Illinois address.

Message the seller and remind him he is obligate to provide a return address in the US.

Did you open a return request?  If not, start with that - you want to always work through the system so that eBay can help if needed.

Go to your purchase history - select return this item.  Click see more under the reasons if you don't see the correct reason, and follow the prompts.

The seller has 3 business days to send you a return label (if he is responsible for the shipping) or a return address in the US.  If he doesn't, or says he can not, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
