I'm getting a "pdf" version instead of printing labels; what did I do wrong?

I purchased 2 USPS labels at the same time (the page showed the 2 orders with the option to buy  both labels with one purchase). Usually I can print them directly from my computer, which I prefer, but this time the only choice after purchasing the labels was to download the labels as a "pdf." Problem is, I don't have a regular printer, only a label printer 4x6.

-- I didn't continue and download the pdf, because I don't know if I purchased the labels incorrectly and I want to be sure of the correct way to go. How can I get labels instead of pdf?

You of course can download and save the PDF file and opened it afterwards to print, but that is extra steps.

You need to check your browser is set to "open" PDF files not download/save them.  Also best to open with Adobe and not the browser's built in reader.

Check your print settings when printing to see if you have inadvertently changed your print destination from your printer to the "save as PDF" selection instead. If so, select your printer and you should be able to print.

Otherwise, check your browser settings to see how PDFs are treated. For best results, choose a dedicated PDF reader such as Acrobat Reader to open PDFs; that seems to be more reliable than attempting to use the browser's built-in PDF utility to view and print PDFs in the browser.

UPDATE:  Thanks for the replies, very helpful.  Here's what I found: When I accessed the purchased labels from "My Orders/All", the Action choices to reprint only showed the pdf version. When I accessed the purchased labels from "My Orders/Shipping Labels" the Action choices now included "Reprint Label," which was what I wanted.  The problem was that each area had different Action choices for printing labels depending on where I opened the order... "My Orders/Shipping Labels" is my go-to place from now on for anything label-related!
