All sellers must offer a return policy that meets or exceeds the MBG. So even if you say you have a no return policy, if your buyer files a Request for Return because the item is broke, not working properly or isn't as described, you need to properly process that claim. You can't deny it either. The only type of claim you can deny is a properly filed buyer's remorse claim.
In this case you should tell your buyer you will take the return or you can tell them to keep it and you will refund them in full. The choice is yours. You won't be out the fees. Once you refund, your fees are refunded to you except for the 30 cent processing fee. And if you take the product back, you can resell it if you want.

If you fully refunded your buyer, it is unlikely that the buyer will return the item now and Ebay won't do anything to force them to do that.
You can write the buyer and let them know you made a mistake. Ask them if they would be willing to still return the item at your expense.
